Merit of Distinction Book Award

Please read eligibility for the 2025 Merit of Distinction in Artistic Expression award.

Eligibility:

Art created or completed in 2024 are eligible for a 2025 Merit of Distinction in Artistic Expression award. Our submission period for 2024 will begin with early submission on December 20, 2024 and will end on July 31, 2025. (Note: Art created or completed in 2025 will be eligible for the 2026 Merit of Distinction in Artistic Expression award.)

Submissions must meet the following criteria:

1.)  All submitted art must be fully created or completed in 2024.

2.) Art must have a human creator and must not include artificial intelligence / AI.

3.) All genres of art welcome excluding cinema (this is a separate category of art).

4.) Entry must be submitted as a digital file through the online submission form in the following formats: .jpg or png. Video submissions are accepted but must be sent via an unlisted Youtube link. We do not accept physical or mailed-in copies.

5.) Genres/Categories: We accept submissions in the following categories: General Art, Abstract Expressionism, Conceptual Art, Cubist Art, Expressionist Art, Impressionist Art, Painting, Renaissance, Surrealist, Sculpture, or Other.

6.) Artist must be living and a legal resident or citizen of the United States.

7.) Entry fee is required at the time of submission: $150
